Dear Mr Krishnakumar,

Our kids Karan & Kishan had a really good time for a month at your academy. Mr. Desilva, Mr. Alluri and the team at the Hebbal academy were very warm & at the same time provided very good coaching too. Tennis is what they enjoyed most during their stay at Bangalore, although they had to wake up early during their hols for the classes.

Mr. Desilva managed to organise a small tournament for our boys the last day . They were very thrilled as it was done only because they were leaving. They are looking forward to their next holiday to join you again.

We thank you for the opportunity & appreciate the running of this facility so efficiently!

Kind regards,
Rakesh & Roshni

"Finally I found a great place to have very professional tennis coaching classes at the Hennur Kinesis Centre. The coaching style of De Silva and his team are not just very learnful, but also good fun as well as great exercise. The three new sand courts are in perfect condition and always very well maintained."

THROUGH THE YEARS IN TENNIS

I started tennis in 2002 when I was four and a half years old. At first, I saw my brother playing , so I wanted to play too. My mother loved the idea and I joined the very next day. I remember that I could not even hold a racquet and soon I was taught to do so.

We first started to bounce balls with the racquet. It was tough at first but soon I got the hang of it. Then I learned to do forehand and backhand. I mastered forehand, well, a bit faster than backhand, which took me more than a year. Hey, I'm still not the best. I'm just a more frequent player than the others. Anyways, I mastered it all right. Then we went on to volley, which was simplest, and smash, which was simple too. But, remember we didn't learn this in a day. It took a year or so to learn everything.

In 2006, when I was eight I experienced my first, well, somewhat like a mock tournament. Tournaments in Kinesis makes you experience how would it be to face others. I lost terribly at the first, then I slowly improved. In 2007 November, I became Runner-up. But I've still not got the first. Still, when I get it I will be much more tough. But tournaments are all about sportsmanship.

Advantage Summer Camp

I"How did I play today?" asked Shyam, my 6-year-old, as we got into the car after an hour and more of tennis lessons. "Quite well," I answered, being a modern, encouraging kind of mother. What he said next stumped me: "But my backhand isn't that good," he said, while searching my face for the truth. I had to admit then that he needed more practice and that he would improve as the days went by.

The kids had been at their tennis summer camp just 10 days then, and I can confidently say that progress is clearly visible. They are not the only ones. Little Amisha, a born dreamer whose mind is off the court several times a session, hits the ball beautifully when she chooses to, or when the coach is persistent.
That is what makes me happy I chose Kinesis over the other tennis academies: the quality of coaching. When looking for summer camps for the kids, I usually go for some skill-building activities (as do most parents today). The smart thing to do is to enroll them with the best in the field - even if it seems expensive - so that they not only pick up the basic techniques correctly but also imbibe the passion that the coach invariably feels for the sport/activity. In addition, if children as young as my son can be self-aware, understand their own progress in the learning of the sport, the credit goes to coaches who push to the right extent without alienating their students.

Sukanya, my nearly-13-year-old, learnt swimming and skating from coaches who were not only good at their respective sports but also loved kids and were loved by their little wards in turn. Unfortunately for Shyam, we've moved a little out of range in terms of distance since then, so swimming and skating haven't happened, but tennis isn't a small gift to have so early on in life. I see grown men enjoying an invigorating game every morning at the Kinesis grounds despite their busy work schedules.

Having had the advantage of good coaches, I know that my children will love - and hopefully play - tennis all their lives.

Why Tennis Works For Me...

Hi, my name is Padma.
I took up tennis initially to provide a means of exercising without being bored. I had read that tennis is a great sport, which makes the mind very much relaxed, increases the resistance power in the body, strengthens the confidence and mainly keeps a person fit and alert the complete day.

So, I gave it a try and found it addicting. Hitting the fuzzy, yellow ball was fun. and useful too. This makes us feel there should be more and more every time.

In this manner I improved myself, getting better and better at playing the game. Now I am very much thankful to the whole team of Kinesis to give me support in teaching and playing such a good game. Initially, I was thinking whether I would be able to play like others do. But now my confidence level has grown and I feel like playing every day.

Kinesis is the place where I had a turning point, through which I reduced my "weight a lot" and am still trying to reduce it some more. It's not like a gym where sometimes you feel bored.

Specifically, I am very impressed by seeing the game play of Keerthi, the Head Coach, as he has inspired me to play more and more.

That's all. With lot's of thanks to all the helping hands of our team members at Kinesis. Keep it up! I feel very happy and great to be a member of Kinesis. really it's enjoyable and supportive.

This is a note to congratulate you and your team for organizing the AITA tennis tournament in such a professional and organized manner. I have been taking my daughter for tournaments held in and around Bangalore and elsewhere for the past two years.
This is probably the only tournament where participating has been such a pleasurable experience for the kids and their parents. You have taken care to provide basic amenities like drinking water, clean toilets, lines being drawn after matches etc which lack in almost all tournaments. Net- based information probably takes the cake.
Kudos to you and your team and I shall make it a point that my daughter participates in all tournaments conducted by you. Congratulations once again.

Krishna Kumar's Kinesis is like an oasis to Whitefield as far as tennis lovers are concerned.

Six beautifully laid clay courts is a lot more than you can expect from the rapidly sinking infrastructure in Bangalore.

There are a bunch of USPTR certified coaches who help the young ones learn the game - technically a very difficult one - correctly.

What more can a family interested in tennis ask for !

The ambience at Kinesis was the first thing that struck me, when I visited it looking for a place for my kids to play tennis. All the children seemed to enjoying themselves and learning tennis at the same time. My sons' Vaishnav (9 years) and Vedav (6 years) have been now playing for a couple of years and there hasn't been a single day when they have said, "I want to bunk tennis class today."

The transition from fun tennis to serious focussed tennis was done with a lot of thought. The pace was slow and gradual and to a large extent the decision was made by the child. This definitely leads to self motivated learning and today Vaishnav wants to come to Kinesis to play better tennis and not just to have fun.

Ktishna Kumar's (KK"s) pleasant disposition and easy relationship with the kids makes him more of a mentor and guide than a teacher and coach.

I come here three times a week and it's been an absolute de-streeser after a hard days work - watching my kids play tennis at Kinesis!

Why GE likes Kinesis?

Among us players from GE Kinesis feels like one's own private backyard tennis club where everyone knows each other. We have a very friendly rapport with the coach and founder Mr. Krishna Kumar, who is very accomodating when it comes to accepting new players, conducting intra GE tournaments and giving tennis advice.

Beginners from GE appreciate the style of coaching and many have picked up the game very quickly. Usually the trainers are ready to play with you in case you don't find a partner and make sure that everyone gets their turn to play so that nobody has to wait except for a brief period.

Unlike most other tennis facilities in Bangalore, there are ball boys at Kinesis to fetch us balls and make us feel like pros. Kinesis works best for GE as employees also find the location convenient, it being close to the workplace.

It is already 5 years since my daughters joined the Kinesis tennis academy, and we continue to patronize this institution with the only change being that I myself took a ‘beginners course’ at Kinesis, and have since been a regular along with my 14 year old daughter Sanchi.

In this time we have seen the academy consistently grow in number of students from net high tots, to pre-teens and teenagers.

Fortunately all this activity has not changed the core of this academy, and if anything has only positively added to its attraction offering first rate coaching, with individual attention to detail and an all pervasive sense of friendliness and professionalism.

My daughter and I have always enjoyed our time at Kinesis, and we still do. Sanchi has now graduated to successfully participate in tournaments, and if she does well and enjoys the sport all credit is due to this institution and the one that leads it- Krishna Kumar, or KK as he popularly known.

I warmly recommend tennis, Kinesis and a chat with KK if this sport is what you have in mind.

My son, Abhishek has been playing at Kinesis for the past four years and is now graduated to playing national tournaments. I have recently enrolled my second son, Abhilash at Kinesis and took the time to learn the game myself from the Kinesis coaches.

The primary difference in Kinesis as compared to any other Tennis Academy is that the children are given an environment to learn while having fun. The pressure on performance which is otherwise there at any other academy is missing here, and the children are given time to get good at the game.

I also feel that in Kinesis, the child is allowed to develop his/her temperament as well along with the game. This helps them become more mature and capable of handling both success and failure.

Kinesis is a place where learning and fun come together. This is one of the unique places where even adults can fine tune their sports skills along-with their children. The facilities are quite well maintained. The personal attention that Krishna Kumar (KK) gives to every individual who comes there is the key attraction of the place.
