On 25 th and 26 th of Feb 2006 morning, young lads and girls gathered at Kinesis bursting with excitement. The reason – they were ready for the Tennis Doubles Tournament that was being conducted. The exuberant kids were all geared up in their sports gear to put to test their skill, stamina and teamwork against their friends.
The students were divided into categories depending on their age. The older kids were put into the category I (10 to 15 years old). They were given the choice of selecting their partners. The younger kids were grouped together in category II (7 to10 years) and their teams were formed by a draw (this was being done to form uniform teams with equal strengths where a better player was teamed with a weaker player). The III category was for the girls and here again the teams were formed by drawing lots. The kids played with lot of energy and enthusiasm, cheered eagerly by their friends and parents.
